申请香港入境许可 / 香港签证
知识普及：中国护照持有人申请的叫「进入许可（Entry Permit）」；外国护照持有人申请的叫「香港签证（Visa）」。
以下情形可免办「香港入境许可」
- 持中国护照，从海外过境香港前往第三国/地区，凭有效护照和联程机票，可免办进入许可并在香港停留7天。
- 目的地为中国内地或澳门者，可不出示联程机票。
- 持中国护照，从内地前往第三国/地区，出示联程机票和目的地签证或合法居留证件（如绿卡、有效工作/学习签证等）后，可免办进入许可并在香港停留7天。
但因其他事由入境香港，或持中华人民共和国旅行证（无论过境或入境香港），均须事先办理进入许可。
澳门相关说明（供参考）
驻外使领馆不签发前往港澳通行证；该证由中国内地公安等机关为内地居民签发。持中国护照且持有他国有效居留证或有效签证者，可免签在澳门停留7天；如需延长，可于逗留许可到期前5日向澳门治安警察局入境事务厅申请，延期最多90天。
绝大多数国家公民访问澳门免签，少数国家（如越南）需要签证。
申请澳门签证常见材料（如适用）
- 《澳门签证申请表》及1张近照；
- 有效护照原件及照片页复印件；
- 在美居留身份证明（绿卡/工签/学签等原件与复印件；如不便寄送原件，可提供经公证复印件）；
- 按访问目的提交证明：如旅游需银行/在职证明、往返机票与酒店订单等。

办理香港签证 / 进入许可所需材料
- 护照原件：至少有6个月有效期，且有1页以上空白签证页。
- 申请表（ID 1003A）：请尽量电脑填写；每一页都需签名，共4处签名；不适用栏目填 N/A。
（表格最新版以香港入境处网站为准，或邮件索取下载链接） - 照片两张：2寸、半年内、白底、正面免冠、不露齿。
- 在美身份材料：如有绿卡附复印件；如持其它签证，提供 I-20、I-797 等相应证明。
- 行程证明：从本城市飞往香港的机票行程单及酒店预订单（首次入境在香港，转机可在其他城市）。
- 商务访问：现任公司出具在职/派遣证明信（抬头、签名与联系方式齐全）。
办理时效（参考）
- 普通办理：第4–6个工作日左右出证；
- 加急办理：第2–3个工作日左右出证。
以上为常见时效，以受理机构与批复为准；节假日与补件会顺延。
如何区分是办理「入境许可」还是「香港签证」？
最直接的方法：看护照类型。持中国护照办理入境许可；持第三国护照办理香港签证。

如需「两年多次」，请注意护照有效期：若护照仅剩 7 个月有效期，批复有效期亦可能仅给 7 个月。通常每次停留不超过14天。
若按 1 次入境申办并缴费，但领馆批复为 1 年多次，以实际批复为准，领馆将按多次签收费，可能产生补差价。

Hong Kong Entry Permit / Visa
Terminology: Holders of a PRC passport apply for an Entry Permit. Holders of foreign passports apply for a Hong Kong Visa.
When You Do Not Need an Entry Permit (PRC passport)
- Transiting Hong Kong from overseas to a third country/region with a valid PRC passport and an onward through ticket – stay up to 7 days visa-free.
- If your destination is Mainland China or Macao, the through ticket is not required.
- Traveling from Mainland China to a third country/region: present a through ticket and the destination visa/residence permit (e.g., green card, work/study visa) – stay up to 7 days.
For other entry purposes, or if holding a PRC Travel Document (whether transit or entry), a prior Entry Permit is required.
Macao Notes (for reference)
Chinese consular posts overseas do not issue the Mainland “Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao”. PRC passport holders with valid foreign residence permits or visas may visit Macao visa-free for 7 days. To extend, apply with Macao Public Security Police Force – Immigration at least 5 days before expiry; extension up to 90 days.
Most nationalities are visa-free to Macao; a few (e.g., Vietnam) require a visa.
Macao Visa – Typical Documents (if applicable)
- Visa application form + 1 photo;
- Valid passport + bio-page copy;
- US status proof (green card/work/student visa originals & copies; notarized copy if originals are not mailed);
- Purpose-specific evidence: for tourism, bank/employment proof, roundtrip ticket and hotel bookings, etc.

Documents for Hong Kong Visa / Entry Permit
- Passport with at least 6 months’ validity and at least 1 blank visa page.
- Form ID 1003A: preferably typed; sign on every page (total 4 signatures); enter N/A for inapplicable items. (Use the latest version from HK Immigration or request via email.)
- Two photos: 2-inch, within 6 months, white background, front-facing, no hat, closed mouth.
- US status: green card copy, or I-20/I-797 etc. as applicable.
- Itinerary: flight plan from your city to Hong Kong and hotel bookings (first entry via HKG; connections can be elsewhere).
- Business trips: employer letter (with letterhead, signer, contact info).
Processing Time (indicative)
- Regular: about business day 4–6 for result.
- Expedite: about business day 2–3 for result.
Subject to official handling and approvals; holidays and supplementary documents extend timelines.

For “2-year multiple”, passport validity limits the visa validity (e.g., 7 months left on passport → likely 7 months visa). Typical stay per entry is ≤14 days.
