How to Apply for a China Visa Extension After Entry
Visa extension is a local application, not an automatic entitlement. NIA guidance says applicants should apply to the local exit-entry authority before the permitted stay expires.
Three points to handle correctly
- Apply at least seven days before the stay expires
- Submit purpose-specific evidence
- Plan to depart on time if an extension is not granted
Why applicants often get this wrong
The common problem is not always one missing form. It is often a mismatch among the COVA answers, passport details, invitation, itinerary or supporting evidence. Reviewers may also request a clarification or original document for the individual case.
