China 10-Year Visa: Validity, Entries and Duration of Stay
A ten-year visa describes validity, not permission to remain in China for ten years. The issued visa separately shows entries and the maximum duration of each stay; consular officials determine all three from the case.
Current planning checklist
- Validity or “Enter Before” is the period in which an unused permitted entry may be made.
- Entries states whether the visa permits one, two or multiple entries.
- Duration of Each Stay is the maximum stay on each entry, counted from entry.
- Requesting a ten-year multiple-entry visa does not guarantee that exact validity, entry count or stay.
