China M Visa Invitation Letter Validity: Does It Expire?
Current U.S. guidance requires a dated M invitation with specific trip and inviter details but does not publish one universal number of days before every invitation expires.
What the letter must show
The current content list includes the applicant's identity details, reason for travel, arrival and departure dates, places of visit, relationship with the inviting party, expense arrangements and the inviter's name, address, telephone, seal or signature and date.
A recently signed letter can still be defective if the passport number or trip facts are wrong. An older letter can become unreliable when it describes a meeting that is no longer taking place.
Update facts instead of changing dates alone
If travel moves, ask the inviting company to recheck the entire letter, company evidence and COVA plan. Do not edit a PDF yourself, reuse another applicant's letter or copy a seal.
For recurring business visits, explain the commercial relationship and requested entries truthfully. A request for long validity does not guarantee that the authority will issue matching validity, entries or duration.
Use a pre-submission consistency check
Compare the invitation against the passport, COVA, U.S. employer letter and itinerary line by line. If the inviter cannot confirm the revised dates, pause instead of submitting contradictory documents.
