The total cost of a China visa consists of two main components: the consular fee (set by the Chinese government) and the service fee (charged by eChinaVisa for our professional assistance). This page provides a comprehensive breakdown of all costs so you can plan your budget with confidence.
China visa consular fees are determined by reciprocity agreements between China and each country. This means the fee you pay depends on your nationality, not where you apply. US citizens pay a flat fee regardless of visa type or number of entries, while citizens of other countries may see varying fees based on these factors.

Upfront eChinaVisa Pricing
For a U.S. citizen, the first applicant makes one upfront payment covering our service, the consular fee, and secure return shipping. There is no separate $140 payment after visa issuance.
First Applicant, One Upfront Payment
$180 eChinaVisa service fee + $140 consular fee + $25 secure return shipping per order. Expedited service adds $150 per applicant. Each additional applicant on the same order adds $320 standard or $470 expedited.

- Document Notarization: $10-$25 per document (if required for your visa type)
- Document Authentication: $50-$200 per document (required for work visa and some other types)
- Health Examination: $200-$400 (required for work visa and long-term student visa)
Group and Family Discounts
We offer discounts for families and groups applying together:
- 2-3 applicants: 10% off service fee per person
- 4-6 applicants: 15% off service fee per person
- 7+ applicants: 20% off service fee per person
- Corporate accounts: Custom pricing available for businesses with regular visa needs
Group discounts apply to the service fee only. Consular fees are set by the Chinese government and cannot be discounted.

Payment is due when you submit your documents to us. No charges are processed until we confirm receipt of your materials.
Refund Policy
Our formal refund and cancellation policy applies to every order:
- Within 24 hours after payment: The eChinaVisa service fee may be refunded in full only if substantive review, document preparation, appointment, filing, or shipping work has not begun.
- After work has begun: Any service-fee refund is limited to the unearned portion after accounting for work already completed.
- Visa refusal: A refusal does not itself create a right to a refund.
- Other charges: Government, consular, shipping, and third-party fees are separate and are not refundable once incurred.
